THE BEAUTY OF GENEROSITY
Taking the time to recognize all the support we receive from so many nourishing natural forces around us can be truly awe inspiring. I work with nature’s most powerful healing plants every day in the treatment room and sometimes the generosity of the plant kingdom can start to seem pretty routine. But when I slow down and think about all of the ways we interconnect with the plant kingdom and all the gifts they give us—from our food to our medicine, our shelter and the air we breathe—I’m so thankful. It’s almost hard to fathom life without this beautiful togetherness.
As you eat delicious meals this month, as you enjoy your favorite skin care formulation and as you take a moment to admire the beauty of the natural world around you, I hope you will feel some of that wonder too. In part it’s why we do what we do, hoping that our work here at the spa or with the skin care collection can help bridge the distance between the botanical world and our own. It’s all an homage to the generosity of the plants.
{EYE BRIGHTENER}
Give the delicate skin around the eyes a little extra love and hydration. Apply a thick pack of Awakening Eye Gel covered by a cotton pad damp with Bulgarian Rose Water. Hold and secure with a silk eye pillow and take a few moments to envision all that you’re grateful for.
{LUNG LOVE}
In traditional Chinese medicine the lungs are the organ of focus during the late autumn. Awaken and refresh your lungs by hanging fresh eucalyptus branches in your shower or by sprinkling one or two drops of eucalyptus essential oil into the bottom of your shower in order to create a fragrant steam.
