A: Over many years of practice as a holistic practitioner, Tammy has seen immediate results when clients switch over to using the plant-based formulas in her skin care collection. Yet while the mainstream beauty industry is full of quick fixes, holistic beauty is also about healing on the deepest levels. Our formulas work on the physical plane, enhancing and replenishing the skin over the course of six weeks, but also nurture the being as a whole.

Q: Which day cream should I choose, and which is best for night?
A: Our holistic formulations are designed to bring the skin into to overall balance, so you can benefit morning or evening by using our creams. That said, Tammy points out that many of her blends correspond so well with the different rhythms of the day. Antioxidant Crème, for example, has an uplifting, invigorating effect that makes it just right for morning time, while Intensive Repair Balm contains soothing Helichrysum, which instills calmness in the evening.
Q: Which formulations should I use to protect my skin in-flight and when I’m traveling?
A: The night before a flight, Tammy recommends treating skin to a thick layer of Restorative Radiance Masque, followed by an application of nourishing Quintessential Serum, ensuring that skin is fully replenished even before you set out. In-flight, she suggests wearing Quintessential Serum under a layer of Spontaneous Recovery Crème, both formulated to protect and nourish, sealing in moisture as you travel. After a flight, awaken skin with a quick in-room facial, gently massaging on Cleansing Milk with a light, circular motion. Follow with Bulgarian Rose Water, and, finally, revive the complexion completely with Quintessential Serum.
Q: I'm experiencing breakouts and acne – what should I do?
A: Mainstream skin care treats acne in such a way that it can actually aggravate the condition with harsh astringent soaps and toners that contain isopropyl alcohol and aggressive chemicals. These products can strip away the skin’s precious natural oils—its protective barrier—and without this defensive layer the complexion could become vulnerable to further outbreaks and acne-causing infection.
Instead, Tammy Fender takes a holistic approach to breakouts. Tammy formulated Clarifying Dermagel specifically with women over the age of 30 in mind, blending in Thyme and Myrrh. We also encourage simple lifestyle shifts to further soothe the skin, working with clients to bring peace into the daily rhythm, while diet, as we know, also has a big effect, especially where processed foods and sugars are concerned.
To address active breakouts, Tammy’s morning and evening protocol is as follows: Cleanse the skin with Purifying Cleansing Gel. Follow with Essential C Tonic. Then apply Clarifying Dermagel. Once active acne has cleared, you can moisturize with Antioxidant Crème. Epi Peel can also be used twice a week as an exfoliant, peel and mask all-in-one.
Q: I'm pregnant. Can I use Tammy Fender products during my pregnancy?
A: Yes! Because of our ingredients, many moms-to-be seek out the Tammy Fender collection during pregnancy. We never use parabens, chemicals, artificial colors or fragrances in our formulas.
However, since Bulgarian Lavender Body Oil contains a high concentration of Lavender, Tammy recommends discontinuing use during the first trimester, though it is a wonderful product to use throughout the rest of pregnancy.

A: Happily, all of our formulations are both cruelty-free and free of gluten.
Q: What is the shelf life of a Tammy Fender product?
A: Due to the high content of active ingredients blended into our formulations, we utilize a food-grade preservative system to ensure products remain potent for 9 months after opening. All products are packaged to be used within 8-12 weeks, the period during which they are most efficacious.
Q: When do I apply sunscreen, before or after my moisturizer?
