RELISHING SUMMER
For me the perfection of summer comes when I can sink in to tranquility, taking the opportunity to rest, but also in setting an intention to purify. Of course, I love to do this on the physical level, carving out time to treat my skin to a double masking morning—first exfoliating with Epi-Peel, then applying a rich layer of Purifying Luculent Masque, letting my skin drink in all the benefits while I put up my feet.
But once we create a little span for peace and quiet, we can enjoy the same feeling by clearing out the mind. Making the time—even that 10 minutes of solitude that comes while the treatment mask sets—offers enough spaciousness to recognize unwanted thoughts and simply allow them to drift away. That said, you don’t have to meditate to reap the benefits of summer. Just sitting in nature and doing absolutely nothing is perfectly beneficial in its own right.
In some deep way these gestures of relishing the beauty of the moment and clearing away the old feel perfectly in sync with honoring the season.
