Behind the Masques

With the thrilling launch of our two new treatment masques—Restorative Radiance Masque and Purifying Luculent Masque—I wanted to share more with you about several of the amazing healing ingredients that make these two formulations so special.
When I’m creating a new formula, the part that takes me the longest is finding just the right harmony between the ingredients. I work until it feels like they truly belong together, and it simply couldn’t be any other way.
And that’s how I feel about the combination of Lotus and Baobab in Restorative Radiance Masque. Lotus is a powerful regenerative, full of antioxidants, flavonoids, essential fatty acids and natural AHAs. It serves to spark cellular renewal and its proteins repair skin strength, restoring elasticity, while it also stimulates circulation, enlivening the complexion.
The revered African Baobab tree can live for over 1,000 years, surviving prolonged droughts, and its fruit creates a power moisturizer, brimming with essential fatty acids and super-doses vitamin C. It brings a remarkable luster to depleted or aging skin. These two ingredients work together so well in restoring skin’s natural luminescence.
Meanwhile, creating a detoxifying blend for Purifying Luculent Masque, I brought together Fo-Ti and Great Burdock root. Fo-Ti, in particular, is known for its capacity to extend cellular longevity, and contains an alkaloid that exerts a rejuvenating effect on skin cells. At the same time, Great Burdock is used in traditional holistic medicine to cleanse the blood and to counter impurities, while it also contains a wealth of vital nutrients. Both are renowned detoxifiers used for centuries to rebalance and heal agitated skin, and to treat conditions stemming from exposure to environmental stressors. The energetic combination brings such clarity.
Once you try the new masques, I think you’ll agree that the powerful effects and divine healing found in each ingredient is amplified by their synergy. These new masques are some of our most opulently rich formulations, and it shows in skin that’s supple, alive and utterly radiant.
