That first burst of spring freshness is a delicious thing. Our senses come to life and we can drink in the season’s purity, which, for me, stirs up such feelings of reverence. As the days get brighter, I love to let these impressions of beauty linger.

It’s also a time of renewal, in every way, and entering the season with fresh intentions feels so right. You might take a moment to renew your commitment to an exercise plan, or adjust your diet to include the fresh, local vegetables coming into season at your farmer’s market. At the same time, in centuries past, spring has marked a time going without. If you ever wanted to experiment with giving up sugar, for example, during the early springtime you might find extra strength and support in the wisdom of the ages.

Of course, taking the idea of spring cleaning to the cellular level, I also give extra attention to detoxifying the skin in springtime, which so naturally helps us absorb and enjoy all the great green vibrancy around us.
