I know how demanding our modern lives can be, and I’ve also seen first-hand the incredible benefits that relaxation can bring. It amazes me every time. While falling into an easy, relaxing late summer rhythm doesn’t always happen on its own, setting an intention and carving out time to simply be and relax is one of the most beneficial things you can do, for physical health, for the soul and—of course—for the skin.

If you like, try this simple exercise, passed along by a friend. Make a list of 22 things that you find relaxing and that make you happy. You may not be able to do them all, but in another column list the two or three you can do today.
