HOLISTIC HOLIDAYS
Spending so much time at home, our family has found a very different rhythm than we were used to. At the beach and in our garden, I’ve found that I’m so much more in tune with the natural world—just the position of the sun and moon, for example, or the stillness or movement of the water. It’s an amazing experience to feel connected to nature in this very basic, very embodied way, and it’s been a real learning experience taking life at this new pace.
It’s almost as if we’ve discovered a whole new world, and that by slowing down it’s like seeing through a microscope or a telescope for the first time—a whole new perspective. And, of course, it’s such a good time to treat the skin with that same wonder and patience. I’ve long advocated for working at nature’s pace, but I’ve also seen over the past several months just how resilient the skin is when we are well rested, eating right and feeling at peace. Naturally, holistic skincare supports all of the above! But truly there is no remedy like relaxation and gratitude.
