DOUBLE CLEANSE
A two-step double cleansing process can help you more deeply purify and detoxify the skin and is a springtime favorite. There are several ways to go about it, all protecting the skin’s natural barrier, and all preferable to using a solvent pad, which can over-dry the skin, leaving it vulnerable to aging, dryness and irritation.
Pre-Cleansing
If you are removing makeup or sunscreen, which can really cling to the skin, try massaging the skin with a lightweight oil (organic grapeseed, for example) to loosen up any buildup before using your cleanser. Alternatively, you can simply double-cleanse with a lightweight, gentle formula like Cleansing Milk, which will not deplete the skin.
Super-Boosting
If your cleanser just needs a little more oomph, add a dash of lightweight oil, blending it into your cleanser in your palm.
Going Double
I love to wash with Purifying Cleansing Gel and then follow with exfoliating Epi-Peel, blended with a clay base that helps draw away toxins from the skin, while leaving the complexion softly glowing.
Finishing Touch
Complete the process with an enlivening spritz of Essential C Tonic, a floral tonic blended with citrus and Ginseng to revive the complexion.
