As we come into autumn, a rich, earthy season, I’m reminded of the importance of minerals, which provide wonderful support for the skin and body, but also connect us more fluidly to the earth.

Minerals like magnesium, calcium and selenium are crucial to so many physical functions. The skin requires minerals to detoxify, to hydrate and to metabolize and absorb nutrients. There is no collagen production without zinc!

And, of course, this is one of the reasons I blend mineral rich ingredients into my formulas. Clay is one of the Earth’s most exquisite mineral-rich resources, and brings its grounding, cleansing and refining capacities to each of my treatment masks. Yet, at the same time, using rich clays or marine minerals to create the collection links us to the earth’s elements in a deeper way.
